A natural monument on the Sugar Loaf and Cara de Cão hills, this complex is located in the Urca district, in the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is the biggest postcard of the city of Rio de Janeiro and one of the most famous in Brazil. Due to its unique characteristics, bordered by the waters of Guanabara Bay, it is an international tourist reference for the city. It has, as a complementary attraction, the modern cable car ride, connecting Praia Vermelha, Morro da Urca and Morro do Pão de Açúcar. Known as the Sugarloaf Cable Car, the cable car was inaugurated in 1912, becoming the first cable car installed in the country and the third in the world. In these more than one hundred years of existence, it has already transported more than forty million people. At the last cable car station, you have a panoramic view of the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Niterói.
