Little Africa  is the name given by Heitor dos Prazeres  to a region of Rio de Janeiro  understood by port area of Rio de Janeiro, Gamboa, Health  where is the Remnant Community of Quilombos da Pedra do Sal, Saint Christ, and other places inhabited by freed slaves and which from 1850 to 1920 were known as Little Africa.
