Princess of the sea
Copacabana is one of the most emblematic beaches in Brazil! It became famous and today is one of the biggest points of interest in Rio de Janeiro. Its green and icy waters are a refuge from the heat in the city in summer.
Always quite busy, Rio de Janeiro beach reflects a little of what Rio de Janeiro is like, a high-spirited place, with a unique natural beauty! The beach is long and has a long stretch of sand, which during the summer is crowded with people. The boardwalk, made with black and white Portuguese stones, is another symbol of the place.
Along the beach there are several kiosks, many people practicing sports, street vendors and a bike lane. It is very worthwhile to reserve a moment of the trip to walk around the place, ride a bicycle and refresh yourself with coconut water enjoying the view of the sea. Another tip is to visit the Copacabana Fort and also take pictures with the statue of Carlos Drummond de Andrade, at post 6.
